Hyderabad: Maulana Abdul Aleem Islahi, Nazim Jamiatul Banaath al-Islahiya Malakpet, Hyderabad passed away a short while ago. He was undergoing treatment at Metro Cure Hospital for some time.
Born in Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, India, Maulana Abdul Aleem Islahi completed his higher education from Madarsatul Islah, a renowned Islamic Seminary. After his formal education, he started his teaching career in Mazahr-ul-Uloom, Uttar Pradesh, as a principal. He also worked at Darul Musannefin Shibli Academy.
He authored many books and pamphlets in Urdu.
Presently, he was the Nazim of Jamiatul Banaath al-Islahiya, Hyderabad which is an Islamic Seminary (madrasa) for girls formed to promote Islamic ideology through quality Islamic education.
