Hyderabad: In a major goof-up, parents of a newborn girl were issued a death certificate instead of a birth certificate. The incident that took place about two months ago in the Secunderabad zone left the parents fuming and senior officials of the GHMC, red-faced.
According to the Times of India, grievances relating to such erroneous death and birth certificates have been flooding MeeSeva centres across Hyderabad.
People have been made to run from pillar to post to rectify mistakes including spelling errors and wrong addresses. Glaring blunders include issuing of a wrong certificate and jurisdictional mistakes.
