Hyderabad: Renowned businessman and Congress leader Jaber Patel passes away

Leader of the Congress Party and renowned businessman from Hyderabad, Jaber Patel, passed away today.

Hyderabad: Leader of the Congress Party and renowned businessman from Hyderabad, Jaber Patel, passed away today.

According to family sources, Jaber Patel was taken to Apollo Hospital in Hyderguda, Hyderabad, today after complaining of severe chest pain, where he passed away. His body has been shifted from Apollo Hospital to his house situated in Red Hills. Further details are awaited.

Jaber Patel was counted among the famous traders of Hyderabad and India, and he was also the founder president of the India-Arab Friendship Foundation. In addition to this, Jaber Patel was nominated as the overseas head of the Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).

Patel was chosen by the representatives of the JCA and members of the Executive Committee to strengthen the activities of the association in promoting cricket in the country. Jaber Patel was also the president of the All India Minorities Forum.
