Hyderabad: Syed Saleem, social worker, released following arrest

Hyderabad: On Monday, Syed Saleem, a social activist based in the city, was forcibly taken from his residence in Hyderabad’s Old City by three unidentified individuals. This occurrence sparked rumors of his abduction. Prior to this event, Saleem had a meeting with Revanth Reddy, the president of Telangana Congress.

A video capturing the incident has circulated widely on social media, depicting three men dragging Saleem into a parked autorickshaw outside his home.

Another video features Syed Saleem addressing the media, confirming that he was held by the police but has since been released. Authorities clarified that his detention was linked to derogatory statements he made about Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali.
