Prasidh Krishna’s 5/23 Destroys Afghanistan’s Top Order

Earlier in the match, Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna ripped through Afghanistan’s top order with a devastating spell.

He claimed five wickets for 23 runs and removed four batters early, helping India put Afghanistan under pressure.

Afghanistan were reduced to 36 for 4 in the 10th over before staging a recovery.

Prasidh Krishna finished with outstanding figures of 5/23, while Prince Yadav took 1 wicket for 38 runs.

Hashmatullah Shahidi Scores Maiden ODI Century

Despite the early collapse, Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi produced a fighting innings and scored his maiden ODI century.

Shahidi struck 102 runs off 131 balls, hitting 13 boundaries and one six.

He received valuable support from Azmatullah Omarzai, who scored 50 runs off 56 balls.

The partnership helped Afghanistan recover from a difficult position and post a competitive total.
