Key Responsibilities Assigned to District Collectors

To strengthen implementation, the government has assigned additional responsibilities:

• District Collectors must ensure proper implementation in coordination with public representatives
• Weekly meetings must be held with District Housing Officers
• A special officer will be appointed for each joint district

Construction Targets

• 3,500 houses already sanctioned in each constituency
• Officials instructed to complete construction at the earliest
• If a sanctioned beneficiary does not build the house, another eligible person will be given the opportunity

Good News for Beneficiaries: Final Installment Release

The government has relaxed earlier payment rules and announced:

• Beneficiaries who received three installments after starting construction will now get the final installment soon
• Even if the house is not fully completed, the last ₹1 lakh will be deposited shortly
