Iran’s Message to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt After Daughter’s Birth Sparks Global Debate

Iran’s message to White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt after the birth of her daughter sparked global debate over the Minab school attack in Iran.

Karoline Leavitt, the youngest White House Press Secretary in the United States, has been receiving congratulations from around the world following the birth of her daughter.

Karoline Leavitt recently announced the birth of her second child, a daughter named “Viviana.”

The 28-year-old White House Press Secretary shared a photograph on social media platform X, where she was seen holding her newborn daughter in her arms.

In her post, Karoline Leavitt wrote that little “Vivy” entered her life on May 1 and filled her home with happiness.

Iranian Embassy Message Creates Social Media Controversy

While congratulatory messages were pouring in from across the world, a message posted by the Iranian Embassy in Armenia triggered fresh international debate.

The Iranian Embassy wrote:

“Children are innocent and lovable. But the 168 children who were killed in the attack on the Minab school were also innocent, an attack you defended. When you hold your daughter in your arms, remember the pain of the mothers of those children as well.”

The message referred to a deadly attack that reportedly took place in the Iranian city of Minab in February.

Details of Minab School Attack Mentioned by Iran

According to Iranian state media, an attack took place on a primary school in Minab on February 28.

Iranian reports claimed that:

  • 73 boys were killed
  • 47 girls were killed
  • 26 teachers died
  • Seven parents died
  • One school bus driver died
  • One employee of a nearby clinic was killed

The attack reportedly occurred during military actions carried out by the United States and Israel at different locations in Iran.

Iran later targeted certain sites in Israel and Gulf countries in response to those operations.

Donald Trump and New York Times Reports Mentioned in Debate

Former US President Donald Trump initially claimed that Iran itself might have been responsible for the attack.

However, a later report by The New York Times stated that according to preliminary US military investigations, an American Tomahawk cruise missile accidentally struck the school after missing its target.

In March, Karoline Leavitt told journalists that the United States does not intentionally target civilians and that investigations into the matter were continuing.

Iran Continues to Hold US Responsible

Iran continues to directly blame the United States for the Minab school attack.

Images and videos of children who reportedly lost their lives in the incident are still circulating on social media platforms.

Following the Iranian Embassy’s message, social media users have been divided in their reactions.

Some people described the message as a reminder of humanitarian suffering, while others viewed it as a harsh diplomatic attack delivered during a personal family moment.

The birth announcement of Karoline Leavitt’s daughter Viviana turned into an international controversy after the Iranian Embassy in Armenia posted a message linking the occasion to the Minab school attack in Iran. The embassy referred to claims that 168 children were killed in the February 28 attack, while Iran continues to hold the United States responsible. The diplomatic message has sparked intense debate on social media and in political circles worldwide.
