KCR urges voters to reflect on Telangana’s transformation over the last decade

During an election campaign meeting titled "Praja Ashirvada Sabha" held at Shadnagar, KCR urged voters to think judiciously before casting their votes, urging them to carefully evaluate the candidates and parties vying for their support as it directly impacts the future of the state.

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister and BRS Working President K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) emphasized the importance of assessing the progress of Telangana over the past 10 years.

During an election campaign meeting titled “Praja Ashirvada Sabha” held at Shadnagar, KCR urged voters to think judiciously before casting their votes, urging them to carefully evaluate the candidates and parties vying for their support as it directly impacts the future of the state.

Highlighting the historical context, KCR recalled the events of 2004 when the Congress formed alliances with BRS (formerly known as TRS) and secured power both at the central and state levels. However, he pointed out that the Congress, despite its assurances in 2005, failed to deliver on the promise of granting separate statehood to Telangana until KCR’s agitation compelled action.

Drawing attention to the merger of Telangana with Andhra in 1956 by the Congress, KCR questioned the Congress’s commitment to the cause of Telangana.
He questioned the credibility of the Congress’s claim to bring “Indiramma Rajyam,” emphasizing that the party had only heard the hunger-driven voices of the people during its regime.

KCR challenged the narrative of the Congress’s governance by citing the launch of the Rs 2 per kg rice scheme by N T Rama Rao during that period.
He encouraged voters to reflect on the transformation of Telangana over the last decade and emphasized the need to support BRS in the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for November 30.
