Latest updates on Munawar Faruqui’s show in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Threats have not deterred Ace stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui from conducting his show in Hyderabad, the City of Nizams.

The show will be held at Shilpa Kalavedika. Keeping in view the threats and boycott calls from BJP circles, A large contingent of police including, Cyberabad Special Operations Teams and the Madhapur zone police assisted by Armed Reserve platoons, has been deployed at the venue.

Telangana Today with reference to police sources stated that thorough frisking of all attendees would be done. Visitors would not be allowed to carry water bottles or snacks into the venue. Due to security reasons, his show has been moved from 6 pm to 5 pm.

Fans were worried when Munawar Faruqui on Friday, took to his Instagram story to inform that his Bengaluru show, which was supposed to take place on August 19, has been postponed due to his health issues.-

BJP MLA T Raja Singh had threatened to beat up Munawar and burn down the venue if the show was allowed to take place. As a precautionary measure, Hyderabad police on Friday took BJP MLA T Raja Singh into custody for allegedly planning to visit the venue at Shilpakala Vedika in Madhapur.
