Mass Shooting at Sydney’s Bondi Beach Leaves 10 Dead, 12 Injured; Security on High Alert

Sydney: At least ten people were killed and twelve others injured in a serious shooting incident at Sydney’s popular coastal area, Bondi Beach, on Sunday, triggering panic among the public and prompting authorities to place the area on high security alert.

According to foreign media reports, the incident occurred when two armed individuals opened indiscriminate fire on people present at Bondi Beach. Several victims died on the spot, while the injured were immediately rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Reports indicate that one of the attackers was also killed during the incident, while the second armed suspect was taken into custody by the police following an operation. Soon after the shooting, police cordoned off the entire area and launched an extensive search operation.

Foreign media sources stated that the firing took place during an event linked to a Jewish religious festival, raising concerns that the attack may have been targeted. Police have advised the public to stay away from Bondi Beach and surrounding areas as investigations continue.
