Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at the exhibition ground at Nampally on Thursday evening after some of the stall holders of the All India Industrial Exhibition popularly known as Numaish, held a protest.
They were demanding that the ongoing ‘Numaish’ exhibition be extended up to April 17.
The 81st All India Industrial Exhibition-2022 is scheduled to be concluded on April 8.
Learning that the AIIE Society’s secretary, Aditya Margam has put up an official communication at exhibition office’s notice board on March 30 regarding its conclusion, a few stall holders have approached the management and demanded to extend the exhibition up to April 17.
TOI quoted Aditya Margam as saying, “We never gave assurance either through orders or announcement regarding extending the exhibition up to April 17.”
The Numaish was reopened on February 25 after it was halted in January amid rise in coronavirus cases.
