Amravati: A model Nikah was performed by a member of Students Islamic Organisation (SIO), the youth wing of Jamat-e-Islami Hind (JIH), on Sunday, March 27, 2022.
Shoaib Asim a member of SIO went to Achalpur, in Amravati District of Maharashtra from Pimpalgaon Raja of Buldhana district of Maharashtra for seeing a prospective bride along with his father, mother and two sisters.
They went there in the afternoon at Zohr time. They liked the girl and after mutual consent with the bride’s parents performed the ‘model Nikah’ after Asr prayer. Reported Urduleaks.com.
Bride’s family need not had to spend a single penny. The groom’s family was served tea. Even the ‘mehr’ was paid then and there in the form of jewellery.
Both the parties presented a live example of performing Nikah as per Quran and Sunnah.
Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The most blessed Nikah is the one with the least expenses.” [Bayhaqi]. He (peace and blessings of Allah be to him) also said, “Make marriage easy and zina (fornication) difficult” (Tirmidhi)
This marriage ceremony is the best example of Nikah performed as per Sunnah and worth emulating for other youths of the community.
