Hyderabad: Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqi has announced his show in Hyderabad, following which the BJP MLA T Raja Singh has threatened to beat up Munawar and burn down the venue if the show was allowed to take place, alleging that the comedian had made jokes on Hindu gods and hurt Hindu sentiments. We will show him the power of Hindus in Telangana and Hyderabad, he said.
Faruqi’s show was previously cancelled in January this year. Similar threats were made by BJP leaders then also.
Raja Singh said that they will teach the comedian a lesson for abusing their lord Rama.
Taking to his Instagram account, Munawar on Wednesday announced his show in Hyderabad on August 20.
