Lakshmeshwar: During BJP’s election campaign in Karnataka, the vehicle of a Muslim youth carrying cold drinks worth Rs 35,000 was looted by the participants of the rally of Home Minister Amit Shah.
22-year-old Sameer was carrying bottles of water, soft drinks and boxes of ice-cream on Friday, April 28, at Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s political rally at Lakshmeshwar in Gadag district.
But his vehicle was looted by the participants of the rally. Sameer’s pleadings fell on deaf ears and the participants looted cold drinks from his vehicle.
The video of Sameer bursting into tears went viral on social media.
BJP MP Pratap Simha, who was present at the rally, helped Sameer. The Member of Parliament himself transferred 35 thousand rupees to Sameer’s account while covering up the loss. He also apologized to Sameer on Twitter.
