Owaisi laments atrocities against Muslims, urges the community to stand with courage

Hyderabad: Hyderabad MP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) supremo Asaduddin Owaisi asserted that Muslims and other oppressed sections of society will not get scared or withdraw but would stand with patience and courage, within the ambit of law, against perpetrators of violence.

He told this while addressing the gathering after Jummatul Vida prayers (last Friday of the Holy Ramadan) at historic Makkah Masjid.

Referring to a series of incidents that highlighted the atrocities being inflicted upon the Muslim community in India in states like Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and New Delhi, Owaisi asked Muslims not to lose heart. He said though we are not economically or politically powerful but we have the power of Imaan.

Hyderabad MP said that he is daily getting calls from oppressed Muslims from across the country informing bout the demolition of their houses, shops, family members beaten up.

Citing the Hindu-Muslim clashes that took place on occasions of Ram Navami as well as Hanuman Jayanti festivities, Owaisi claimed that there is a constant attempt to wipe off the Muslim community from the country.
