Piyush Goyal confident of BJP victory in Telangana, predicts defeat for BRS
“BRS came to power in Telangana with a promise of Neellu, Nidhulu, Niyamakalu but failed to implement them. Huge corruption has taken place in Telangana projects.
Hyderabad: Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal expressed confidence that the BJP will come to power in Telangana, foreseeing the defeat of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS).
“BRS came to power in Telangana with a promise of Neellu, Nidhulu, Niyamakalu but failed to implement them. Huge corruption has taken place in Telangana projects. The future of Telangana is at risk. People were cheated and they are going to answer them with a vote. We have unveiled what we can do in the manifesto. People will vote for us and we will make BC CM in the state. Youth will stand with the party,” said Piyush Goyal while speaking to reporters here on Thursday.
Highlighting national achievements, Goyal stated, “We have become the fifth-largest economy with improvements in finance and infrastructure. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we aim to be at the top of the world in the next 15 years. In Telangana, we have doubled the national highway, increased the railway budget 16 times, proposed economic and industrial corridors, and initiated the development of cargo terminals. Mega textile parks, a super thermal power project, and the Hasan to Charlalapally LPG pipeline are underway. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is expected to reach record levels. We are building an ‘Aspirational India new India,’ and everyone is included in that vision.”
Goyal also predicted victory for the BJP in elections in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.
Addressing the current Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, Goyal remarked, “Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has confined himself to working from home, and the people have decided to keep him at home. The Vande Bharat trains, completely made in India, are a source of pride for the nation.”
