Plantation Drive held at MANUU
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor planted a sapling near the new rain water harvesting pond, at Professor Quarters, MANUU campus.
Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) today organized a plantation drive under Jal Shakti Abhiyan Committee in connection with World Environment Day celebrations to make the environment clean and to make people aware of its importance.
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor planted a sapling near the new rain water harvesting pond, at Professor Quarters, MANUU campus.
Prof. Ainul Hasan, said that trees are the lungs of the earth, if we continue to cut trees, the coming generations will have to carry oxygen cylinders to breathe. That’s why we should plant trees for our future generation and our own life as well.
Earlier, on June 5, various programs like Quiz, Painting Competition, Essay Writing Competition were organized under World Environment Days celebrations.
On this occasion Prof. F. Rahman Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Abdul Haque University, Kurnool, Prof. Shakeel Ahmad, Chairman Jal Shakti Committee, Prof. Mohammad Fariyad, Convener Jal Shakti Committee and Dean and Head Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean School of Technology, Prof. Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dean, Student’s Welfare, Dr. Jamaluddin khan, Dy. Registrar, Assistant Professors Polytechnic – Iqbal Khan, Zeenat Ara, Hajira Fatima, Mohammad Hafeez, coordinators of world environment day celebrations and other members were present.
