Mylardevpally Police Bust Ganja Racket, 8.5 Kg Cannabis Seized; Main Odisha Supplier Absconding

Ranga Reddy: A ganja racket was busted in the Mylardevpally Police Station limits after the Rajendranagar Task Force Police conducted special raids based on information about the sale and consumption of cannabis. Police seized 8.5 kg of dry ganja, arrested the main peddler, Rajput Dhanjeet Singh alias Chhotu, along with six sub-peddlers, and booked six consumers. Police identified Hiralal alias Dada from Odisha as the main supplier, who is currently absconding. The investigation is ongoing.

Rajendranagar Task Force Conducts Special Raids
Acting on information about the sale and consumption of ganja in the Mylardevpally Police Station limits, the Rajendranagar Task Force Police carried out special raids.
During the operation, police detained several people who were allegedly consuming ganja in Sriram Nagar Colony and questioned them.
Ganja Racket Operating From Shamshabad House Exposed
During the investigation, police uncovered a racket allegedly operating from a house in Rajiv Gruhakalpa (RGK) White Quarters, Shamshabad.
According to police, the house had been converted into a base for storing and selling ganja brought from Odisha.

Main Supplier From Odisha Identified
Police identified Hiralal alias Dada, a resident of Odisha, as the main supplier of the ganja.
Officials said he is currently absconding, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest him.
Main Peddler and Six Sub-Peddlers Arrested
Police arrested the main peddler, Rajput Dhanjeet Singh alias Chhotu, who allegedly procured ganja from Hiralal alias Dada and sold it locally.
Along with him, six sub-peddlers were also taken into custody in Mylardevpally.
Police also caught six consumers who were allegedly consuming ganja and registered a case against them.
Items Seized by Police
Police seized the following items from the accused:
- 8.5 kg of dry ganja
- 13 mobile phones
- One keypad phone
- ₹5,000 in cash
- One double-edged knife
- One pepper spray
- Honda Activa (Registration No. TG07BA2815)
Investigation Continues
Police said a search is continuing for the absconding main supplier Hiralal alias Dada.
They added that the investigation is also continuing into other angles connected with the ganja racket.
