Mumbai: Maulana Mustaqeem Ahsan Azmi, the president of Jamiat Ulema Maharashtra, breathed his last today just before the Fajr prayer, as reported by Muhammad Athar Mustaqim. The funeral rites was held at Nariyalwadi Muslim Cemetery.

People benefitted from Maulana Azmi’s genuine advice, finding solace in his ability to address their problems with a smile. Regardless of religion or caste, he treated everyone with love and sincerity, dedicating himself to resolving the issues of the nation and its people.
Mahmood Hakimi of Anjuman Bashindgan e Bihar Mumbai and Anjuman President Anwar Sheikh mourned the loss of Maulana Azmi, emphasizing the void left by the departure of a great, experienced, and sincere leader, who had united people in Mumbai and Maharashtra in their collective efforts.
