Prominent Figure of Hyderabad Mahboob Alam Khan Urges Muslims to Support Congress in Telangana
Hyderabad: In a significant meeting, Congress leader Revanth Reddy met prominent figure Mahboob Alam Khan, Secretary at Nawab Shah Alam Khan College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, and a noted Indian food connoisseur specializing in Hyderabadi cuisine.
During the meeting, Mahboob Alam Khan assures support to Congress and urged the Muslim population of Telangana to lend their support to the Congress party in order to keep communal parties at bay from positions of power. He pointed out that the KCR-led BRS has allegedly consistently supported bills in Parliament that are deemed unfavorable to the Muslim community, be they CAA-NRC or triple talaq bill.

Khan emphasized that the promises made by KCR’s administration regarding justice for Muslims and 12 percent reservations have not been fulfilled. In response, he proposed that if Congress were to come to power, they should pledge a 10 percent allocation in every government welfare scheme for the Muslim population.
Highlighting the political landscape, Khan stressed that Congress remains the only viable party at the center capable of countering the BJP. He urged the Muslim community to rally behind Congress in order to maintain a unified front against communal discord.
Mahboob Alam Khan has been instrumental in preserving traditional Hyderabadi cuisine and has played a pivotal role as a consultant for the Taj Group of Hotels and state dinners. Additionally, his family owns the esteemed Hyderabad Deccan Cigarette Factory, and he serves as the director of the Anwar-uloom educational society.
