Rs. 2,679 crore sanctioned for construction of super specialty hospitals in Hyderabad

However, the cost of construction varies, for LB Nagar is Rs. 900 crores, for Sanathnagar Rs. 882 crores and for Alwal Rs. 897 crores. 

Hyderabad: The State government, headed by the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has sanctioned Rs. 2679 crores for the construction of 3 Super Speciality Hospital at LB Nagar, Sanathanagar and Alwal.

According to the Secretary to the Medical, Health and Family Welfare department, said that the 3 Super Specialty hospital which are going to be constructed under Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences will be at LB Nagar in Rangareddy District, Sanathnagar in Hyderabad district and Alwal in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.

Each hospital will have the cluster-I block area of 10,53,800 sq. fts and cluster -2 will have the area of 3,17,420 sq. feets. The total plinth area will be 13,71,220 sq.ft for each hospital. 

However, the cost of construction varies, for LB Nagar is Rs. 900 crores, for Sanathnagar Rs. 882 crores and for Alwal Rs. 897 crores. 

The Secretary has asked Engineer-in-Chief, Road and Buildings department to invite bids on design-build mode.
