Hyderabad, April 24, 2026: In a swift action, Saifabad Police Station traced and restored lost gold ornaments and Rs. 3,500/- cash within one hour to Smt. Sujatha R. Hiremath (43), a resident of Gulbarga, Karnataka.

She had forgotten her bag while travelling from Narsingi to Birla Mandir in an Uber Auto (TG11T1076) on 23-04-2026 at 18:45 hours. Acting on the complaint, police traced the vehicle using CCTV and recovered the valuables, while the driver K. Nagesh returned them intact. The matter was resolved and property restored.
Complaint Filed at Saifabad Police Station
On 23-04-2026 at 18:45 hours, Smt. Sujatha R. Hiremath (43) approached Saifabad Police Station and reported that she accidentally forgot her bag in an Uber Auto (TG11T1076) while travelling from Narsingi to Birla Mandir.
The bag contained:
- 6.5 Tulas of gold ornaments
- Rs. 3,500/- cash
CCTV-Based Tracing Within One Hour
Under the guidance of SHO Sri A. Seethaiah, a team immediately took action.
The team included:
- PC 9991 K. Vinay Kumar
- PC 4533 Madan Mohan
By verifying CCTV footage, the team traced the auto and contacted the driver, K. Nagesh, within one hour, by 19:45 hours.
Auto Driver Returns Gold and Cash Intact
The driver, K. Nagesh, a resident of Chintal Basthi, Khairatabad, responded promptly and confirmed that the bag was safe on the back seat.
He reached the police station and handed over the gold ornaments and cash intact. The property was subsequently restored to the complainant.
