Telangana Chief Minister KCR Calls for Accountability for Party-Switching Politicians
The Chief Minister warned the public not to make the mistake of voting for the Congress party, as he believes it could lead to dark days in Telangana once again.
Hyderabad: K Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, has urged the public to teach a strong lesson to politicians who switch parties frequently and engage in politics driven by money.
He made this call during a public gathering in the Munugodu Assembly constituency in Nalgonda district.
Without naming anyone, the Chief Minister criticized certain leaders who change their political affiliations frequently, often due to financial interests. He mentioned that these leaders lack ethical values and commitment, and they can easily switch from one party to another.
KCR’s comments are particularly relevant because of the recent switch of former MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy from the BJP back to the Congress party. KCR cautioned the public to be cautious of such leaders and to hold them accountable in the upcoming elections.
During the election campaign, KCR also responded to a challenge from TPCC president Revanth Reddy to contest from Kodangal Assembly constituency. He emphasized that when he initiated the movement for Telangana State 24 years ago, he had very few supporters, and he faced hardships and even went to jail.
He questioned the whereabouts of the leaders challenging him now during the early days of the Telangana movement.
