Hyderabad: G Nirajan, Senior Vice President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), alleged that the arrest of Kavitha by the BJP government was a ploy to bolster the faltering BRS party.
In a statement issued on Friday evening, he asserted that the entire episode was a staged drama orchestrated by the BJP and BRS in collusion.
Nirajan criticized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for its sudden awakening and swift action in conducting searches and arresting Kavitha, merely a day before the announcement of the election schedule. He alleged that this move was intended to generate sympathy for the BRS party.
Furthermore, Nirajan pointed out the strategic timing of Kavitha’s arrest, coinciding with Prime Minister Modi’s roadshow in the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency.
He condemned the BJP’s apparent manipulation of the situation for political gain and called for transparency and accountability in such matters.
