Hyderabad: In a recent development, the Telangana government has declared November 30 as a public holiday for all state employees and workers in view of the upcoming Assembly elections.
The state labor department issued an official order, declaring November 30 as a paid holiday and providing explicit instructions for the closure of factories, businesses, and industries.
The directive emphasizes the importance of civic engagement, encouraging eligible voters to actively participate in the elections scheduled for November 30. Vote counting is slated to take place on December 3.
Telangana is gearing up for a significant electoral process, set to vote for 119 assembly constituencies across 33 districts. This move by the government aims to facilitate widespread participation in the democratic process and ensure that citizens have the opportunity to cast their votes without any hindrance.
