Telangana Government Announces Public and Optional Holidays for 2024

In an official announcement on Tuesday, the Telangana government released the list of public and optional holidays for the year 2024.

Hyderabad: In an official announcement on Tuesday, the Telangana government released the list of public and optional holidays for the year 2024.

As per the notification issued by the General Administration Department, all government offices will remain closed on every Sunday and the second Saturday of each month throughout the year 2024, except for the second Saturday of February, which will be a working day in lieu of New Year holiday.

The dates for holidays related to Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, Ashura, and Milad-un-Nabi (SAWS) may vary due to the sighting of the moon. However, the government has already declared April 11 and June 17 as holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, respectively.

According to the official notification, Milad-un-Nabi (SAWS) will be observed on September 16, 2024, while Ashura will be commemorated on July 17, 2024.
