Hyderabad: In an unexpected move, Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar undertook a surprise RTC bus journey from Hyderabad to Mahbubnagar, engaging with passengers along the way.
The Minister accompanied by Devarakadra MLA Madhusudhan Reddy greeted and interacted with passengers, during his journey and addressed the concerns raised by the passengers.
During the journey, the Minister discussed various aspects, including the free travel provided to women through the Mahalakshmi scheme, cost savings related to travel, and more.
Ponnam Prabhakar emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling promises, assuring that within 90 days of coming to power, initiatives such as free RTC travel, Arogya Shri coverage up to Rs10 lakhs, Rs 500 gas cylinders and 200 units of free electricity will be implemented.
The minister said the commencement of the Indiramma houses scheme will be implemented in the current month. He attentively listened to the concerns raised by passengers, promising the arrival of a thousand new buses to alleviate transportation issues.
RTC conductors highlighted their problems to the Minister, who assured discussions on the expeditious implementation of the PRC (Pay Revision Commission).
