Telangana State Waqf Board Reconstitutes Masjid-e-Noor Committee After Enquiry into Irregularities
Inspector-cum-Auditor Janab Rizvi formally handed over the charge of the mosque, along with official records and keys, to the newly constituted committee in the presence of local worshippers and community members, who welcomed the decision and expressed gratitude to the Waqf Board.

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Waqf Board has reconstituted the Managing Committee of Masjid-e-Noor in Surya Nagar, Shaikpet, following an enquiry into allegations of administrative and financial irregularities in the mosque’s affairs.
The move comes after years of concerns raised by worshippers and local residents regarding the management and financial transparency of the mosque, which had reportedly remained under the same administration for nearly 15 years.
Acting on repeated complaints, the Waqf Board ordered an enquiry and appointed Inspector-cum-Auditor Janab Rizvi to investigate the matter. According to the enquiry findings, the previous management allegedly failed to submit financial accounts to the Board, did not clear statutory Waqf Fund dues, failed to conduct mandatory audits, and did not respond to show-cause notices issued by the Board.
The report also highlighted alleged financial irregularities, administrative deficiencies and a lack of transparency in the functioning of the mosque administration.
Based on the findings, the Telangana State Waqf Board decided to reconstitute the Managing Committee, marking a significant administrative change at Masjid-e-Noor.
