Three Missing Minor Girls Traced on Moving Dakshin Express Train, Reunited with Families by Mailardevpally Police
Three missing minor girls from Hyderabad were traced by Mailardevpally Police on the Dakshin Express at Bina Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh and safely reunited with their families after a coordinated rescue operation.
Hyderabad: In a successful rescue operation, the Mailardevpally Police, with the assistance of the Railway Police and technical surveillance, traced three missing minor girls travelling on the Dakshin Express in Madhya Pradesh and safely reunited them with their families. According to police, the girls had allegedly left their homes on July 24 after becoming emotionally distressed due to frequent reprimands by their parents over trivial issues. Following a coordinated investigation under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rajendranagar Rajendranagar Zone, the girls were safely rescued and later handed over to their parents after legal formalities and counselling.

Girls Left Home on July 24 and Boarded Dakshin Express
According to the police, all three girls are minors. They allegedly left their homes on July 24 after becoming emotionally distressed because of repeated reprimands from their parents over trivial matters.
At around 3 p.m., the girls travelled by auto-rickshaw from Katedan to Budvel Railway Station. They then proceeded to Secunderabad Railway Station, where they boarded the Dakshin Express bound for Delhi.
On July 25 at about 11 a.m., the mother of one of the girls lodged a missing complaint at the Mailardevpally Police Station.
Treating the case as a priority, police immediately launched a coordinated search operation under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rajendranagar.
Five Special Teams Formed to Trace Missing Girls
To locate the missing girls, the police constituted five special teams.
Investigators, in coordination with the Railway Police, analysed CCTV footage from multiple locations to reconstruct the girls’ movements.
During the investigation, police discovered that one of the girls had secretly carried a mobile phone and was using an Instagram account. By identifying the Instagram account, investigators traced the linked mobile number and used technical analysis to determine its location.

Technical Surveillance Leads Police to Moving Train
The technical evidence helped investigators identify that the girls were travelling on the Dakshin Express.
Further technical analysis enabled police to determine the specific coach and seat numbers of the train.
Based on this information, the Railway Police intercepted the Dakshin Express at Bina Railway Station, Madhya Pradesh, where the three girls were safely secured without any harm.
Girls Reunited with Families After Counselling
After the rescue, the girls were brought back to Hyderabad.
Following the completion of the required legal formalities and counselling, they were handed over to their respective parents.
Police Issue Advisory to Parents
The police advised parents to:
- Maintain open communication with their children.
- Address their children’s emotional concerns with patience and understanding.
- Monitor their children’s online activities.
- Encourage children to seek support from family members or trusted adults during times of emotional distress instead of taking impulsive decisions.
