Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has responded to R. Krishnaiah over repeated questions on Telangana fee reimbursement dues, saying that he should first speak about the approximately ₹10,000 crore fee reimbursement pending in Andhra Pradesh, the state he represents. The Chief Minister also said the Telangana government has inherited the burden of around ₹8,000 crore in pending fee reimbursement dues accumulated during the previous government’s tenure and has prepared a plan to clear fee reimbursement every academic year.

CM Questions R. Krishnaiah Over Andhra Pradesh Dues
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that R. Krishnaiah has been repeatedly raising questions about fee reimbursement in Telangana.
However, the Chief Minister questioned why R. Krishnaiah was not speaking about the approximately ₹10,000 crore in pending fee reimbursement dues in Andhra Pradesh, which he represents.
According to Revanth Reddy, Andhra Pradesh has an NDA government, and R. Krishnaiah should first respond to the pending dues there before commenting on Telangana.
₹8,000 Crore Burden Inherited From Previous Government
The Chief Minister stated that the Telangana government is currently bearing the burden of around ₹8,000 crore in pending fee reimbursement dues that accumulated during the tenure of the previous government.
He said the present government is addressing the issue and working to streamline the payment process.

Government Plans Timely Fee Reimbursement
Revanth Reddy said the government has prepared a plan to ensure that fee reimbursement for every academic year is paid within the same academic year.
He added that there will be no fee reimbursement problem in Telangana in the future under the proposed system.

Krishnaiah, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said he should first speak about the approximately ₹10,000 crore fee reimbursement dues in Andhra Pradesh before questioning Telangana. The Chief Minister said Telangana has inherited around ₹8,000 crore in pending dues from the previous government and assured that a new system has been planned to ensure fee reimbursement is paid within the same academic year, preventing such issues in the future.
