Hyderabad Traffic Advisory: IIIT Junction Road to Remain Closed for 90 Days from July 1 Due to Flyover Works

Cyberabad Police has announced a 90-day road closure from DLF Gate No.1 to Gachibowli Traffic Police Station from July 1, 2026, due to IIIT Junction flyover construction. Check diversion routes and traffic advisory.

The Cyberabad Police has issued a traffic advisory announcing the closure of the road stretch from DLF Gate No.1 to Gachibowli Traffic Police Station for 90 days with effect from July 1, 2026, due to the ongoing multi-level flyover and underpass construction works at IIIT Junction. The road closure has been implemented to speed up construction work and ensure smooth traffic movement in and around IIIT Junction within the limits of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. Commuters, especially IT employees, have been advised to use the notified alternate routes.

Why Is the Road Being Closed?

According to the traffic advisory, the multi-level flyover and underpass construction at IIIT Junction is expected to continue for approximately one year or until the completion of works.

To enhance the pace of construction, the road stretch from DLF Gate No.1 to Gachibowli Traffic Police Station will remain closed for a period of three (3) months, with effect from 01.07.2026.

The advisory also states that the closed road will be partially opened as and when the construction activity advances, depending on the availability of space.

Hyderabad Traffic Diversions at IIIT Junction

The following traffic diversions will be in force for 90 days with effect from 01.07.2026:

1. Radisson Hotel to IIIT Junction via DLF

  • Traffic coming from Radisson Hotel towards IIIT Junction will be allowed only up to DLF Gate No.1.
  • The road will remain blocked beyond DLF Gate No.1.
  • Motorists should travel via:
    • Gachibowli Junction
    • Right turn towards Indiranagar
    • IIIT Junction
  • Employees of TCS company operating through the Non-SEZ (CMC) Gate will be allowed to enter and exit through their regular Non-SEZ Gate.

2. Gachibowli Traffic Police Station to Radisson Hotel Junction via DLF Building

Traffic coming from the Lingampally side towards DLF Road will be diverted at:

  • Gachibowli Traffic Police Station
  • IIIT Junction
  • Gachibowli Junction
  • Left turn towards Radisson Junction
  • Left turn to reach DLF

Cyberabad Police Advisory for Commuters

The advisory notes that the flyover development works may continue for at least one year, resulting in traffic congestion in and around IIIT Junction.

The Cyberabad Police has requested regular commuters, including IT employees, to use alternate routes for a safer commute.

The general public has also been requested to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with Cyberabad Traffic Police in ensuring the free flow of traffic.

The Cyberabad Police traffic advisory confirms that the road between DLF Gate No.1 and Gachibowli Traffic Police Station will remain closed for 90 days from July 1, 2026, due to the ongoing IIIT Junction multi-level flyover and underpass construction works. With the project expected to continue for about one year, commuters, especially IT employees, are advised to expect congestion, follow the notified diversion routes, and cooperate with the Cyberabad Traffic Police.
