Tragic Collision in Shahjahanpur: 12 Lives Lost as Container Collides with Tempo

Shahjahanpur (UP): At least 12 people were killed when a container collided with a truck due to dense fog in the Allahganj area of Shahjahanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, a police officer said.
The Superintendent of Police (SP), Ashok Kumar Meena, said that the incident took place on Bareilly-Farrukhabad Road when the container hit the tempo coming from the opposite direction. “12 passengers, including 9 males and 3 females, were killed in the accident,” he said.
He said that the deceased have been identified as Lalaram (30), Puttu Lal (50), Shivpal (45), Surendra Kashyap (50), Anant Ram (35), Basanta Devi (70), Maniram (45), Pothiram (50), Rampa Devi (45), Rupa Devi (50), and Adesh (20).
The SP said the container was recovered 12 kilometers away from the accident site. “Teams have been constituted to arrest the tanker driver, and he will be nabbed soon,” he said.
