TSRTC bags five National Bus Transport Excellence Awards
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has bagged five prestigious National Bus Transport Excellence Awards annually bestowed by the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU), a central government sector body.
Hyderabad: Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has bagged five prestigious National Bus Transport Excellence Awards annually bestowed by the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU), a central government sector body.
For the year 2022-23, TSRTC has been honored with these national-level awards in various categories, including road safety, energy efficiency management, staff welfare and utilization of technology, a release here said on Saturday.
The TSRTC achieved the first prize in road safety, excelling in fuel efficiency management and securing the second prize in the urban category. Additionally, the corporation claimed the first prize in staff welfare and product category, along with another first prize for providing enhanced services to passengers through technology.
ASRTU has announced that these five awards will be presented to TSRTC officials in New Delhi on March 15.
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed his delight at TSRTC’s remarkable feat in winning five national-level awards. He attributed the organization’s success to the commitment, dedication, and discipline exhibited by the staff.
Prabhakar extended his heartfelt congratulations to the RTC officers and staff for their hard work in achieving this recognition.
TSRTC has emerged as a benchmark for the country’s public transport system by securing the National Bus Transport Excellence Awards, according to its Managing Director VC Sajjanar.
He said that these awards symbolize the collective efforts of the officers and staff in advancing the company’s development and delivering superior and quality services to passengers.
