CM Revanth Reddy Proposes AI-Integrated Traffic Signals for Hyderabad, Analog and MEIL Sign MoU

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has proposed the integration of traffic signals across Hyderabad with advanced technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to ensure effective signal operations and hassle-free traffic management. During a meeting held at the Bodhi Pavilion in the MCR HRD Institute on Wednesday, Analog Founder and CEO Alex Kipman and MEIL MD P. Krishna Reddy briefed the Chief Minister on a Hyderabad traffic pilot project and future urban technology solutions. Analog and MEIL also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of the Chief Minister to strengthen technical cooperation and innovation-led infrastructure development.

Revanth Reddy Proposes AI-Based Traffic Signal Integration

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy proposed integrating traffic signals across Hyderabad with advanced technology to improve traffic management across the city.

He also stressed that the traffic signal system should be integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to regulate traffic flow, especially during rains, ensuring smoother movement of vehicles.

Analog and MEIL Present Hyderabad Traffic Pilot Project

Analog Founder and CEO Alex Kipman and MEIL Managing Director P. Krishna Reddy met the Chief Minister at the Bodhi Pavilion in the MCR HRD Institute on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister made several suggestions to the two organisations regarding the use of Physical Intelligence in Hyderabad.

The company heads briefed the Chief Minister on the Hyderabad traffic pilot project and explained how technology could be used to provide immediate solutions to challenges faced by rapidly growing urban areas.

Vision for Next Generation Intelligent Infrastructure

The representatives of Analog and MEIL presented their vision for “Next Generation Intelligent Infrastructure” based on “Physical Intelligence.”

They explained that Physical Intelligence, including sensors and robotics, could help develop:

  • Safe urban transportation systems.
  • Efficient traffic management.
  • Responsive transportation infrastructure.

They said these technologies are essential for future generations.

Proposal for Cognitive Cities

The meeting also highlighted the concept of “Cognitive Cities”, where technology can perform several real-time urban management functions, including:

  • Adjusting traffic signal systems based on real-time congestion.
  • Detecting and repairing water leaks in advance.
  • Managing power supply according to demand.
  • Clearing traffic routes for ambulances and fire tenders during emergencies.

According to the two organisations, these emerging technologies can address the needs of rapidly growing cities by:

  • Enhancing government operational efficiency.
  • Improving citizen services.
  • Facilitating data-driven infrastructure planning.

Analog and MEIL Sign MoU

On the occasion, Analog and MEIL signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

According to the officials, the joint venture will play an important role in:

  • Strengthening mutual technical cooperation.
  • Fostering innovation-led infrastructure development.
