Vijayawada: The ruling YSRCP Machilipatnam Lok Sabha member V Balashowry and his son Anudeep quit the party and joined the Jana Sena party here on Sunday.
Jana Sena Chief K Pawan Kalyan admitted them into the party by wrapping scarves at a programme organized on the occasion in the JSP state office at Mangalagiri, near here.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan indicated that the JSP and the TDP had reached a consensus on the seat sharing issue. He told his cadres that the JSP was targeting victory in 98% of seats.
“The pain of defeat is reflecting on the face of Jagan Mohan Reddy. Though I am being abused personally by the YSRCP leaders, I did not respond since I want to maintain dignity and I do not want to degrade politics,” he asserted.
The JSP chief took strong exception for cancelling the Intermediate examination for organizing a ‘Siddam’ public meeting by the YSRCP.
When he did not respect his own sister, how could he respect the people, Pawan Kalyan questioned citing YS Sharmila’s revolt against his brother. Pawan Kalyan said that YS Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter YS Sunita is also expressing fear and threat to her life.
“The YSRCP organized a meeting ‘Siddam’. Siddam for what, Are they ready for a debate on the failure of implementation of the Old Pension System, DSC and prohibition. Jagan Mohan Reddy might have forgotten about the assurances which he made to the people during the last elections,” Pawan Kalyan observed.
Pawan Kalyan said that they were thinking about the future of the next generation, adding that he is happy to note the joining of Balashowry in the JSP. JSP Political Affairs Committee chairman Nadendla Manohar and K Nagababu were among those who were present.
