A 25-year-old Zepto delivery boy died on the spot in a road accident under Mehdipatnam police limits after a Ganesh Travels bus ran over him. The bus driver has been arrested.

Hyderabad: A tragic road accident under the Mehdipatnam Police Station limits claimed the life of a 25-year-old Zepto delivery boy late on Sunday night. The accident occurred on the busy road while he was travelling from Tolichowki to Mehdipatnam, police said.

The victim died on the spot, triggering shock and concern among local residents and commuters.
How the Accident Happened
According to police, the deceased was identified as Abhishek (25), who was working as a Zepto delivery executive. While riding his two-wheeler on the Tolichowki–Mehdipatnam road, he lost control of his vehicle and fell onto the road.
At the same moment, a Ganesh Travels bus coming from behind ran over him, causing severe injuries. Abhishek succumbed to his injuries instantly at the accident spot, police confirmed.
Police Action and Investigation
Mehdipatnam police rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information. Officers:
- Took custody of the body
- Shifted it to Osmania General Hospital for post-mortem examination
- Registered a case of accidental death
Police also arrested the bus driver involved in the accident for further questioning.
Body Sent for Post-Mortem
The victim’s body was sent to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem to ascertain further medical details. Police have informed the family members and are continuing the investigation to determine the exact circumstances that led to the crash.
