95.81 per cent students pass in Maha SSC exam

The state registered overall pass percentage of 95.81 in SSC examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), as compared to 93.83 per cent of last year, the result of which was declared on Monday.

Pune: The state registered overall pass percentage of 95.81 in SSC examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE), as compared to 93.83 per cent of last year, the result of which was declared on Monday.

The Konkan division in the state stood at top with 99.01 per cent, while the Nagpur division was placed at bottom with 94.73 per cent, State board president Sharad Gosavi said.

Once again, girls have outshone boys in Class X exam this year, as 97 per cent of girls have passed vis-a-vis 94.56 per cent boys.

In another feat, 187 students of the state have got hundred percentile marks this year, of whom 123 were from Latur division, as against 108 students of last year.

All students who got hundred percentile marks got the benefit of concessional marks, said Anuradha Oak, secretary of Board.

A total of more than 16 lakh students had registered for this exam in nine divisional boards of the state.
