KTR Slams HYDRAA Demolitions, Attacks CM Revanth Reddy Over Blasts, Broken Promises and ‘Evasion Politics’

KTR criticises HYDRAA demolitions, blasts at check dams and attacks Revanth Reddy over broken promises as Congress leader Dosala Anil joins BRS at Telangana Bhavan.

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K T Rama Rao on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, alleging that demolitions, blasts, and political evasion have become routine in Telangana over the last two years. Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, KTR said demolitions are being carried out in the name of HYDRAA, while vital irrigation structures like barrages and check dams are being blown up.

He also alleged that Congress leaders were involved in blasting check dams in areas linked to sand sales, calling it a dangerous trend that threatens public assets and governance.

Congress Leader Dosala Anil Joins BRS in Hyderabad

At the same event, Congress leader Dosala Anil, who hails from the Alvin division of Serilingampally constituency, formally joined the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. KTR welcomed him with the party’s pink scarf at Telangana Bhavan and said the joining reflected growing public anger against the Congress government.

‘HYDRAA Demolitions and Blasts Are Destroying Telangana’: KTR

KTR accused the government of misusing the HYDRAA name for demolitions and questioned the logic behind explosions at the Kaleshwaram barrage and check dams.

Key allegations made by KTR include:

  • Demolitions being carried out arbitrarily under HYDRAA
  • Blasts at check dams linked to illegal sand activities
  • Damage to irrigation infrastructure affecting farmers
  • No accountability from the Congress leadership

Attack on Revanth Reddy Over Poll Promises

Targeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, KTR accused him of abandoning pre-election guarantees made to Congress leaders.

He recalled promises such as:

  • ₹1 lakh financial aid and gold for daughters’ marriages under Kalyana Lakshmi
  • ₹2,500 monthly assistance for women
  • Claims of making one crore women millionaires

KTR questioned whether the state budget could support such schemes and accused the Chief Minister of avoiding public accountability.

‘Carry Bags to Delhi’ Jibe and Political Satire

In a sarcastic attack, KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy became Chief Minister through a “payment quota” system and accused him of carrying bags to Delhi to protect his position. He mocked the government’s responses to questions on women’s welfare, fee reimbursement, and governance, saying the Chief Minister reacts angrily when asked to implement promises.

KCR’s Press Meet Has Shaken the CM, Says KTR

KTR said the Chief Minister appeared visibly unsettled after the recent press meet of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He claimed that if KCR were to come to the Assembly, Revanth Reddy would be unable to face the political pressure.

He also reiterated that BRS would work to ensure Revanth Reddy’s defeat from Kodangal and challenged him to publicly commit to giving ₹2,500 to women from January 1.

Serilingampally Politics and GHMC Focus

KTR questioned why Serilingampally MLA Arikepudi Gandhi did not join BRS earlier and challenged him to resign and face a by-election. He accused the Congress of land grabbing in the area and recalled how BRS secured strong public support in Hyderabad, including major wins in GHMC and Sarpanch elections.

He said:

  • BRS had won the confidence of Hyderabad voters
  • Right leaders would be given opportunities in GHMC polls
  • Development is possible only when corporators work with corporation funds

Allegations Against Congress Ministers

KTR also made serious allegations against Congress ministers, claiming land grabbing by the son of a revenue minister and forced money collection highlighted by statements from a minister’s own daughter. He alleged that whistleblowers were being transferred to suppress the truth.

‘People Will Decide, Not Demolitions’: KTR

Concluding his speech, KTR said dividing Hyderabad or carrying out demolitions will not change public opinion. He expressed confidence that people would once again bring KCR back to power and warned that BRS would continue to fight against what it calls misrule, HYDRAA demolitions, and broken promises.
