The Telangana LPG stock review meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, who directed officials to maintain strict monitoring of distribution and take steps to prevent black marketing of LPG cylinders.

Telangana Chief Secretary Reviews LPG Stock Position

During the review meeting, officials discussed the current LPG stock position, supply networks, and transportation systems across Telangana.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao instructed authorities to take strict measures to ensure fair distribution of LPG cylinders across Telangana.

He directed officials to:

  • Conduct daily monitoring of LPG stock and distribution
  • Prevent black marketing of LPG cylinders
  • Maintain police vigilance at LPG agencies and distributorships
  • Ensure timely delivery to consumers

These measures aim to ensure that consumers across the state do not face any disruption in the supply of cooking gas.

LPG Supply to Hospitals and Government Hostels

Officials also confirmed during the Telangana LPG stock review meeting that supply is being maintained not only for domestic users but also for essential institutions.

According to the officials:

  • Hospitals are receiving LPG cylinders as required
  • Government hostels are being supplied regularly
  • Adequate stocks are available to meet institutional demand

Authorities assured that there is no need for concern regarding LPG cylinder availability in Telangana.

810 LPG Distributorship Centres Supplying Cylinders

Currently, 810 LPG distributorship centres are operating across Telangana, supplying cylinders to both rural and urban consumers.

The Chief Secretary directed oil marketing companies and government departments to work in coordination to ensure smooth distribution and timely delivery of LPG cylinders across the state.

Senior representatives from major oil companies and officials of the Civil Supplies Department attended the meeting along with other senior government officials.

The Telangana government’s review of LPG stocks and assurance of uninterrupted cylinder supply to 1.29 crore consumers is expected to strengthen monitoring mechanisms and maintain a stable cooking gas supply across the state.
