Abu Dhabi: Five Indian nationals and one Pakistani citizen were injured after debris from an Iranian ballistic missile attack fell in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, early Saturday morning. The Abu Dhabi authorities have confirmed the incident.
According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, a review of the incident that occurred in the vicinity of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) revealed that five Indian nationals sustained minor injuries.
The office further stated that the ballistic missile was successfully intercepted and destroyed mid-air by the air defense system. However, debris from the missile fell to the ground, sparking fires at three different locations.
A Pakistani national was also injured in the incident, bringing the total number of injured to six.
The Abu Dhabi Media Office confirmed that all injured individuals are out of danger and sustained only minor injuries. The fires that broke out following the incident were quickly brought under control.
