Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the government’s primary objective is to ensure uninterrupted power supply without inconvenience to people, despite rising electricity demand due to intense summer heat. During a review meeting at Praja Bhavan, he directed officials to procure additional power and ensure no disruption, while officials confirmed the system remains stable and the situation is under continuous monitoring.

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Reviews Power Supply at Praja Bhavan

In view of the increasing power demand across the country, Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka held a review meeting with senior officials of the Energy Department at Praja Bhavan to assess the state’s electricity situation.

Officials informed that:

  • Rising temperatures have increased electricity consumption
  • Use of air conditioners and coolers in homes and offices has gone up significantly
  • Agricultural requirements have added further load on the power grid

Despite nationwide pressure on the electricity market, the Deputy CM instructed officials to ensure no shortage of power in the state.

Instructions to Procure Power and Maintain Supply

Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka directed:

  • Procurement of additional electricity through power exchanges
  • Full utilization of all available power generation units in the state
  • Efficient management of hydropower generation

He emphasized that uninterrupted supply must be maintained, especially for:

  • Drinking water supply schemes
  • Other essential services
