Reddy, who campaigned in favour of Congress candidates in Kerala, said:

He added that Telangana and Kerala are two great states with progressive values and democratic ethos, believing in development, and said that after a decade of disappointment and betrayal, they are set for a great future under the Congress government.

During his campaign on April 1, Revanth Reddy launched a sharp attack on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan using a dialogue from the Malayalam film Narasimham starring Mohanlal.
He said:

- Adapted it to: “Nee po mone Vijaya”
He alleged:
- Vijayan’s “time is over”
- His “expiry date has passed”
Vijayan Responds, Verbal Clash Escalates
Pinarayi Vijayan responded strongly to Reddy’s remarks. The two leaders were engaged in a verbal war.

- Vijayan used words seen as nearly derogatory in Malayalam
