He directed that vehicles coming from the opposite direction should not be stopped unnecessarily or disturbed during VIP movements.
The Chief Minister also warned that strict action would be taken against negligent officials if people continued to face inconvenience due to traffic restrictions.
According to the instructions issued:
- People should not be stopped on roads for long hours
- Public movement should not be disrupted for convoy passage
- Opposite-side vehicles should not be unnecessarily halted
- Officials causing inconvenience through negligence may face strict action
DGP CV Anand Holds Video Conference With Police Commissioners
Following the CM’s directives, DGP CV Anand held a video conference with police commissioners across Telangana regarding traffic management issues.
Several directions were issued to field officers to improve traffic handling during convoy movement and rush hours.
The DGP also announced that a traffic bureau would soon be established to regulate traffic more effectively.
New Traffic Management Plans Announced
Police officials decided to implement a system under which vehicles would be moved through a single lane instead of stopping traffic completely during convoy movement.
The DGP instructed officers to:
- Prepare alternative traffic routes in advance during rush hours
- Ensure traffic officials remain on the ground
- Take immediate decisions during traffic congestion situations
- Prevent illegal parking on the Outer Ring Road
- Coordinate with ISW and CSW departments
The DGP also instructed people to remain vigilant in areas surrounding the airport.
Traffic Measures Before Monsoon Season
Director General of Police CV Anand instructed officials to take preventive measures before the monsoon season to avoid traffic jams in waterlogged areas.
Officials were directed to ensure smooth traffic flow in areas prone to waterlogging and congestion during heavy rains.
The DGP also directed officials to actively participate in traffic control operations and improve coordination during emergency traffic situations.
