Nepali Gang Behind Brutal House Dacoity Arrested Near Secunderabad Railway Station After Analysis of 250 CCTV Cameras
According to police, the accused — Rajesh and Meena, both Nepali nationals working in India for the past several years — allegedly planned the robbery in search of “easy money.” They reportedly targeted the house of a doctor couple after observing that only the couple resided there.

A major breakthrough was achieved by the Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate after police arrested four members of a Nepali robbery gang near Secunderabad Railway Station while they were allegedly attempting to flee the country following a sensational house dacoity case.
The shocking incident took place on May 12 under the limits of Jawahar Nagar Police Station in the Malkajgiri Commissionerate. The complaint was lodged by Murali Mohan, a resident of Mohans Golf Enclave, Kowkoor.
According to police, the accused — Rajesh and Meena, both Nepali nationals working in India for the past several years — allegedly planned the robbery in search of “easy money.” They reportedly targeted the house of a doctor couple after observing that only the couple resided there.
To execute the plan, they formed a gang with other Nepali workers identified as Sabeena alias Sunitha, Chang, Samrat, Biswal, Kamal, and Jankar alias Shankar.
Police said Meena facilitated the entry of Sabeena into the complainant’s house as a housemaid on April 25, 2026, and introduced Rajesh as her husband. The gang then patiently waited for the right opportunity to strike.
As part of the conspiracy, the accused allegedly organised a fake birthday celebration for Meena at the servant quarters on the night of May 11. During the night, five gang members entered the house while the remaining accused waited outside the gated community to assist in the escape.
At around 8:30 PM, the accused allegedly restrained the doctor couple, administered an unknown intoxicating substance that rendered them unconscious, tied their hands and legs using plastic tape and clothes, and threatened them with crowbars. The gang then broke open almirahs and looted nearly 60 tolas of gold ornaments, around 15 kilograms of silver articles, two mobile phones, USD 3,000 cash, and other valuables.
After committing the crime, the accused fled in an auto-rickshaw and on a scooter, which was later abandoned near Yapral and recovered during the investigation. The gang subsequently hired taxis and headed towards Secunderabad Railway Station, allegedly planning to escape from India.
During the investigation, police discovered that accused Meena alias Mamtha and Rajesh were previously involved in a 2023 house-breaking case registered at Moinabad Police Station.
Scientific evidence and fingerprint analysis conducted at the crime scene reportedly helped investigators identify Meena’s fingerprints, providing a crucial lead in the case.
The Commissionerate formed six special teams comprising officers from Law & Order, CCS, and SOT units. Teams were deployed to Bengaluru, Lucknow, and Nepal border areas to trace the accused.
After analysing technical surveillance data and footage from more than 250 CCTV cameras over five days, police successfully arrested four accused on May 16 at around 10:45 AM near Rethifile Bus Station, Secunderabad.
The arrested accused were identified as:
- Sunitha alias Sabina (28)
- Biswal alias Viswal (30)
- Kamal Bahadur Chalaune (34)
- Jankar Bahadur Chalaune alias Shankar (38)
All four are natives of Nepal.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly confessed to the crime, following which police recovered stolen gold ornaments, silver articles, and cash from their possession.
Police said efforts are continuing to trace and arrest the remaining absconding accused at the earliest. Senior officials appreciated the relentless efforts and coordination of the investigation teams in cracking the sensational case.
