The award was presented by Syed Gulam Afzal Biyabani, popularly known as Khusro Pasha, at a special ceremony organised at Haj House in Hyderabad.
Syed Omar received the recognition for his outstanding contribution to photojournalism and for capturing the spiritual moments, emotions, and arrangements associated with the Haj pilgrimage in a remarkable manner.
