Hyderabad: Mohammad Sana Ullah Farhan, son of Advocate Khaja Moizuddin, addressed the media and thanked Telangana Police for arresting accused Mujahid Alam Khan and Mahboob Alam Khan in connection with the murder of his father. Referring to the press note issued by the Hyderabad Police Commissioner after the press conference, Farhan said he had read the official statement and appreciated the efforts of the police in arresting the accused within a week of the incident.

He stated that the incident took place on Saturday and the arrests were made on the following day. Farhan said his family was unable to celebrate Eid because of the tragedy. He also revealed that his maternal grandfather, a senior advocate, passed away recently, adding to the family’s grief.

Speaking to reporters, Farhan said he would personally monitor the legal process as he is also a lawyer. He demanded that the trial be conducted as quickly as possible and called for the appointment of a Special Public Prosecutor and the establishment of a Special Court for the case.
Farhan said he would pursue the matter through every legal stage, including any appeals that may be filed in the High Court, Supreme Court, or even mercy petitions submitted to the President of India. He stated that he would continue legal efforts until a conviction is secured and that he wants both accused, Mujahid Alam Khan and Mahboob Alam Khan, to receive the death penalty.
Remarks on Mahboob Alam Khan
Farhan also commented on Mahboob Alam Khan, alleging that he was pretending to be injured while being brought by police. He claimed that Mahboob Alam Khan is known to many people in Hyderabad and described him as physically fit. Farhan said there was no need for media or police to be influenced by such appearances.
Demand for Lawyers’ Resolution Against Appearing for Accused
Farhan said he had discussed the matter with advocates and expressed hope that after the reopening of the Telangana High Court and Nampally Criminal Court, resolutions would be passed requesting local advocates not to appear on behalf of the accused.
He acknowledged that every accused person has legal remedies available under the Constitution and law. However, he said he had received assurances from members of the legal fraternity that discussions would take place within the High Court Bar Association and criminal court circles regarding resolutions related to legal representation in the case.
Lecturers and Students Contact Family Over College Issues
Farhan said he had been receiving phone calls and messages from lecturers associated with educational institutions. According to him, some lecturers informed him that they teach at Nawab Shah College and Anwar Ul Uloom College and alleged that their salaries had not been paid for six to eight months.
He also claimed that students had expressed concerns about the situation and asked what should be done in the future.
Appeal to Students and Parents
Addressing students, Farhan urged them not to study in colleges that, according to his allegations, were being run by individuals accused in the murder case. He specifically mentioned Nawab Shah College and Anwar Ul Uloom College and advised students planning admissions to consider other institutions.
He also appealed to parents not to enroll their children in such colleges. Farhan stated that students should think carefully about their future careers and educational environment.
Demand for Government Intervention
Farhan said he intends to write to the government seeking intervention in the management of the institutions. He suggested that the government take control of the colleges by forming an administrative committee.
According to Farhan, the institutions are private Waqf colleges and Waqf properties. He argued that such institutions should not remain under the control of two individuals and called for broader oversight and management reforms.
