Hyderabad: The HYDRAA on Thursday cleared encroachments and restored a 361-square-yard park in Durga Bhavani Nagar, Sultanwala Village, Saroornagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy district. Acting on a complaint received through the HYDRAA Prajavani grievance platform, officials, along with municipal and revenue authorities, identified encroachments on the park land, removed the illegal structures, demarcated the park boundaries, installed HYDRAA signboards, and fenced the area to prevent future encroachments.

HYDRAA Restores Encroached Park in Durga Bhavani Nagar
The action was taken in Durga Bhavani Nagar, located in Sultanwala Village, Saroornagar Mandal, Ranga Reddy district.
The residential layout, approved by the Gram Panchayat, consists of 198 plots in Survey Nos. 39, 42 and 46.
A total of 361 square yards had originally been earmarked for a public park.
Residents Complain of Encroachment
The park has roads on two sides, while plot owners on the remaining two sides had allegedly been using the park area for parking.
According to the complaint, some plot owners had extended into the park land and constructed compound walls.
Residents of Durga Bhavani Nagar submitted a complaint through the HYDRAA Prajavani platform seeking protection of the public park.
Joint Inspection Confirms Encroachment
Following the complaint, HYDRAA, along with municipal and revenue officials, conducted a field inspection.
The inspection confirmed that the park land had been encroached upon.
Encroachments Removed, Park Boundaries Marked
On Thursday, HYDRAA removed the encroachments and officially demarcated the boundaries of the 361-square-yard park.
The authority also:
- Installed HYDRAA signboards identifying the land as a public park.
- Erected fencing around the park.
- Took measures to prevent future encroachments.
Residents Welcome HYDRAA Action
Residents of Durga Bhavani Nagar expressed happiness over the action taken by HYDRAA.
They thanked the authority for protecting the public park and posed for photographs in front of the newly installed HYDRAA board.
