Hyderabad: Food Safety Officers of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation conducted a joint inspection at Dasara (A Unit of Flagship Vibes Private Limited) on July 3, 2026, following the directions of the MMC Commissioner. The inspection found multiple food safety and hygiene violations, including expired food items, poor sanitation, uncovered food, and the absence of a FOSTAC certificate. A notice has been issued, and the restaurant received a hygiene rating of 65%.

Food Safety Inspection Conducted at Dasara Restaurant

The inspection was carried out by Food Safety Officers of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation at Dasara (A Unit of Flagship Vibes Private Limited) located in Nagole, Hyderabad, on July 3, 2026.

The inspection was conducted following the directions of the MMC Commissioner.

Multiple Food Safety Violations Detected

During the inspection, officials observed the following violations:

  • Damaged and slippery kitchen floor with waterlogging.
  • Expired food items, including Masala Papad and Mustard Sauce, were found and discarded.
  • Uncovered food items exposed to dust and flies.
  • Flies observed throughout the kitchen.
  • Dusty kitchen walls and ceiling.
  • No FOSTAC Certificate.
  • Food handlers working without aprons and gloves.
  • Unclean refrigerator.
  • Water analysis report was not produced.
  • Unlabelled food items.
  • Food waste scattered on the floor and not removed periodically.

Notice Issued After Inspection

Following the inspection, the Food Safety Officers issued a notice to the establishment.

The restaurant received a hygiene rating of 65%.

MMC to Continue Regular Food Safety Inspections

The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation stated that it will continue conducting regular food safety inspections and take strict action to ensure:

  • Safe food.
  • Proper hygiene.
  • Protection of public health.
