Citizens urged HYDRAA to protect the remaining public utility lands from further encroachments.

Residents argued that changing the alignment would create gravity (level difference) issues and requested that the existing drainage line be retained while completing the project.

Illegal Construction on Sewer Line Alleged in Hafeezpet

Residents of Sai Nagar Youth Colony, Hafeezpet, Serilingampally Mandal, submitted a complaint to the HYDRAA Commissioner alleging that an individual had illegally constructed a house over the main sewage drain (sewerage line).

According to the complaint, the construction was carried out using a Rotary Document, after which the sewer pipeline passing beneath the house was closed.

Residents alleged that the closure has completely blocked the sewage flow, causing sewage water to overflow onto the main road and resulting in severe waterlogging and hardship for local residents.
