The python moved slowly across the track, taking several minutes to make its way through, while onlookers watched from a safe distance.
Many visitors recorded the rare sight on their mobile phones, and videos of the giant python quickly began circulating on social media, attracting widespread attention.
Fortunately, no injuries or untoward incidents were reported. The snake calmly crossed the path and disappeared back into the dense vegetation without posing any threat to visitors.
Wildlife experts say the sighting highlights the rich biodiversity of KBR National Park, one of Hyderabad’s most important urban forests. The park is home to a wide variety of birds, reptiles and other wildlife, and occasional sightings of wild animals are considered a sign of a healthy and well-preserved ecosystem.
Forest officials have urged the public to remain calm if they encounter wild animals inside the park or in nearby forest areas.
